The following is a list of minor places (i.e., small villages, small towns and small cities) whose names were given to small craters of Mars. The list of approved names in the Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature maintained by the International Astronomical Union includes the place (e.g. village, or town) the small crater is named for.[1]
