Carry on Jatta 2 is the highest grossing Punjabi film of all time since June, 2018. Worldwide collections of the film are est. 57 crore which involves ₹40 crore in India and ₹17 crore at Overseas. Also the film is the highest grossing Punjabi film in India but second highest at overseas behind Chaar Sahibzaade which was released in 2014. Most of the films which are in the list are romantic comedy or comedy films. Nikka Zaildar and Bambukat fame Ammy Virk in an interview said, “You can’t experiment much. If you make an experimental film in Punjab, then I don’t think it will work right now as the market is not that big. If the market grows, then more type of genres like action and suspense can also do well.”[1][2]
