List of highest-grossing Telugu films

Telugu cinema, consisting primarily of movies in the Telugu language in the Indian states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is popularly called as Tollywood. It is one of the largest movie production centers in India. In 1977, the film Daana Veera Soora Karna starred, produced and directed by N.T. Ramarao become the first film to collect one crore. In 1992 the film Gharana Mogudu starring Chiranjeevi and directed by Raghavendra Rao became the first Telugu film to collect 10 crore.In 2003 the film Simhadri became the first Telugu film to collect 25cr share.[1]
