Lambda Persei (λ Per, λ Persei) is a class A0IV[3] (white subgiant) star in the constellation Perseus. Its apparent magnitude is 4.29[2] and it is approximately 422 light years away based on parallax.[1]
In Chinese astronomy, Lambda Persei is called 積水, Pinyin: Jīshuǐ, meaning Stored Water, because this star is marking itself and stand alone in Stored Water asterism, Stomach mansion (see : Chinese constellation).[7]
