2 Persei is a star in the constellation Perseus. Its apparent magnitude is 5.70. Located around 148 parsecs (480 ly) distant, it is a blue star of spectral type B9. In 1970 radial velocity measurements from spectrograms taken at David Dunlap Observatory indicated it was a spectroscopic binary.[6] Follow up observations led to the determination that it had a circular orbit with a period of 5.6 days.[4]
