The Inter-Korean Liaison Office (Hangul: 남북공동연락사무소; Hanja: 南北共同連絡事務所; RR: Nambuk gongdong yeollak samuso) is a joint liaison office of North Korea and South Korea in the absence of formal diplomatic relations, functioning as a de facto embassy. It also provides direct communication channel for the two koreas.[1]
The office are headed by a North Korean Representative Jon Jong-su, vice chairman of Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland and South Korean Representative Chun Hae-sung, vice minister of Ministry of Unification.
