Diplotaxis sundingii is a species of wall rockets that belong to the Brassicaceae family. The species are endemic in Cape Verde and is listed as critically endangered by the IUCN/[1]
Its local name of the species may be called mostarda-brabo (wild mustard). Another related plant on the island is Diplotaxis antoniensis. Also of the species in the island there are Diplotaxis antoniensis and gorgadensis of the island of Santo Antão, Diplotaxis gracilis found on the island of São Nicolau as well as Diplotaxis glauca of Sal, Diplotaxis hirta of Fogo and Diplotaxis varia of the islands of Santiago and Brava.
Distribution and ecology
Diplotaxis sundingii are founded only in the Island of São Nicolau, mostly present between 500 and 700 meters in elevation.[1] Its numbers is estimated at about 250 mature individuals//[1]
