The 2018–19 I-League is the 12th season of the I-League and Minerva Punjab are the defending champions. Real Kashmir are making their debut in I-League as the promoted team from the 2017–18 I-League 2nd Division. The season will begin in October 2018.[1]

Teams

Real Kashmir were promoted for winning 2017–18 I-League 2nd Division. Churchill Brothers were relegated in 2017–18 I-League season.

However in the Emergency Committee meeting held in New Delhi on 18 September 2018, it was decided to waive the relegation of Churchill Brothers and they were reinstated in I-League.[2]

Foreign players

On 20 June 2018, it was decided by the All India Football Federation that the number of foreigners for each I-League club will be kept six as previous season. Asian player quota is abolished. Clubs can sign maximum six players of any nationality.[1]

Indian Arrows cannot sign any foreign players as they are the AIFF developmental team.

Positions by round
