The 1956–57 Iraqi Central Cup Championship was the 1st season of the Iraqi Central League (the top division of football in central Iraq (i.e. the capital city of Baghdad) from 1956 to 1974).

It was played as a double-elimination tournament, with the teams that got knocked out earliest being relegated. Maslahat Naqil Al-Rukab won their first title, and the first title in the history of the teams that were later merged to form Amanat Baghdad. There were five other teams that participated in the tournament: Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Al-Malikiya, Montakhab Al-Shorta, Al-Adhamiya, Al-Numan and Al-Athori.[1][2]
