Cytosol

Cytosol is binnen de cel de vloeistof waarin alle celorganellen drijven, en waarin de meeste metabole processen plaatsvinden. Het is dus het cytoplasma zonder de daarin drijvende organellen. Tot het cytosol behoort ook het cytoskelet.
