Bobby Keys
Bobby Keys (Slaton, 18 december 1943 – Franklin, 2 december 2014) was een Amerikaanse saxofonist. Hij was samen met Jim Price en Jim Horn de meest gevraagde hoornsectie in de jaren zeventig.[1] Zij verschenen op albums van The Who, The Rolling Stones, George Harrisons All Things Must Pass, John Lennon en Yoko Ono's Plastic Ono Band, Eric Clapton en Joe Cockers Mad Dogs and Englishmen.

Levensloop
Keys begon met toeren op 14-jarige leeftijd met Bobby Vee en Buddy Holly, maar maakte vooral naam als eerste saxofonist bij de Britse rockband The Rolling Stones. Hij speelde op elk album van 1969 tot 1974 en van 1980 tot op heden (anno 2009). Keys trad ook op tijdens alle Stonestournees sinds 1970.
Opvallend is zijn saxofoonsolo in het nummer Brown Sugar, een nummer van The Rolling Stones uit 1971.
Keys overleed op 70-jarige leeftijd in zijn huis te Franklin (Tennessee) aan de gevolgen van cirrose.[2]
