New York's 52nd State Senate district is one of 63 districts in the New York State Senate. It has been represented by Republican Senator Fred Akshar since a 2015 special election to succeed retiring fellow Republican Thomas W. Libous.

Geography
District 52 stretches along the Pennsylvania border in Broome, Chenango, Delaware, and Tioga Counties, including the city of Binghamton.[3]
The district overlaps with U.S. congressional districts 19, 22, and 23, and with New York State Assembly districts 122, 123, 124, and 126.[4]
