New York's 50th State Senate district
New York's 50th State Senate district is one of 63 districts in the New York State Senate. It has been vacant since December 31st, 2019, as Republican Senator Bob Antonacci resigned to become a Justice of the New York State Supreme Court. He had succeeded Republican Deputy Majority Leader John DeFrancisco.

Geography
District 50, centered around the suburbs of Syracuse, covers parts of Onondaga County and Cayuga County in Central New York.[3]
The district is located entirely within U.S. congressional district 24, and overlaps with New York State Assembly districts 120, 126, 127, 128, 129, and 130.[4]
