New York's 44th State Senate district is one of 63 districts in the New York State Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Senator Neil Breslin, under different district numbers and lines, since 1997.

Geography
District 44 is located in the Capital District counties of Albany County and Rensselaer County, including all of Albany and much of Troy.[3]
The district is located entirely within U.S. congressional district 20, and overlaps with New York State Assembly districts 107, 108, 109, and 110.[4]
