New York's 22nd State Senate district is one of 63 districts in the New York State Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Senator Andrew Gounardes since 2019, following his defeat of incumbent Republican Senator Marty Golden in the 2018 general election.

Geography

District 22 is located in southern Brooklyn, encompassing the neighborhoods of Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach, Gravesend, Gerritsen Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Marine Park.[3]

The district overlaps with U.S. congressional districts 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, and with New York State Assembly districts 41, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 51, 59, and 64.[4]
