List of most-liked YouTube videos

This list of most-liked YouTube videos contains the top 30 videos with the most likes of all time. The like count is taken directly from the page of the video itself. YouTube implemented a like and dislike button on these pages in March 2010, part of a major redesign of the site. This served as a replacement for their five-star rating system;[1] YouTube's designers found the previous system ineffective because the options to rate a video between two and four stars were rarely selected.[2]

This is a dynamic list and may never be able to satisfy particular standards for completeness. You can help by expanding it with reliably sourced entries.
"Despacito" by Luis Fonsi (left) featuring Daddy Yankee (right) has been the most liked video on YouTube since July 2017, with over 38.2 million likes as of June 2020.

The music video for LMFAO's song "Party Rock Anthem" stood as the most liked video on YouTube in 2012, with 1.56 million likes, until the video for Psy's "Gangnam Style" surpassed it in September that year, yielding more than 1.57 million likes.[3] Following this accomplishment, "Gangnam Style" entered the Guinness World Records book as the most liked video on YouTube and on the Internet as of 2012.[4] Psy's video remained the most liked on YouTube for nearly four years until August 27, 2016, when Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" featuring Charlie Puth surpassed it with 11.21 million likes. Less than a year later, on July 25, 2017, Luis Fonsi's "Despacito" featuring Daddy Yankee claimed the top spot with 16.01 million likes.

As of June 2020, BTS are the only artists to have four videos in the top 30, while Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, DJ Snake and Blackpink have two.

  10. "KONY 2012" was a viral campaign by Invisible Children that aimed to raise support for Joseph Kony's arrest. Within 10 days the video received 80 million views (35 million of which were accumulated in its third day alone). In 12 days it became YouTube's most liked video, only to be surpassed by "Party Rock Anthem" 18 days later.
  11. "Party Rock Anthem" was the first video to reach 1 million likes on November 15, 2011.[50][51][52] It is the only video on this list to hold the No. 1 spot on more than one occasion.
  12. "Evolution of Dance" was YouTube's first video to hold the No. 1 spot on this list. When the video was uploaded in 2006, YouTube still used the 5-star rating system. On March 31, 2010, when the rating system changed to likes and dislikes, all previous 1 star ratings were converted to dislikes and all 5 star ratings were converted to likes. This automatically made "Evolution of Dance" YouTube's most liked video at the time.
