The data for 2017 and 2018 are from the Food and Agriculture Organization Corporate Statistical Database.[1] The estimated total world production for avocados in 2018 was 6,407,171 metric tonnes, up 6.7% from 6,005,285 tonnes in 2017.[n 1] Dependent territories are shown in italics.
