Beate Walter-Rosenheimer

Beate Walter-Rosenheimer (born 20 November 1964) is a German politician. Born in Weißenburg, Bavaria, she represents the Alliance 90/The Greens. Beate Walter-Rosenheimer has served as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Bavaria since 2012.[1]

Life

Beate Walter-Rosenheimer grew up in Ingolstadt and Munich, where she graduated from high school in 1985. She then studied communication sciences, philosophy, history and psychology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (Diplom-Psychologin). She then worked as a freelance psychologist in the fields of industrial psychology, coaching and clinical psychology. From 2009 to 2011, she was a research assistant to the parliamentary party leader of the Greens in the Bavarian state parliament. On 16 January 2012 she moved up to the Bundestag.[2] She is a member of the Committee on Education, Research and Technology Assessment and the Committee on Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.[3][4] She is also a member of the Enquete Commission on Vocational Training.[5] For her group she is spokesperson for youth policy and Spokeswoman for education and training.[6]
