Kentucky was won by former California Governor Ronald Reagan (R) by a slim margin of 1 point.[1] As of the 2016 presidential election, this is the last time that Kentucky has leaned more Democratic than the nation as a whole.[2] It is also the last time that Scott County, Shelby County, Boyle County, Woodford County, Grant County, Anderson County, Mercer County, Pendleton County, and Washington County voted for the Democratic candidate.
