Will's Birthday is the third episode of the second series of The Inbetweeners. It first aired on 16 April 2009 on E4.

Plot

Jay steals a flyer from a female pupil which is for a "sexy" party being held by popular pupil Louise Graham. The boys decide to go there together, despite none of them being invited. However, the party clashes with Will's sophisticated 17th birthday dinner and he eventually persuades his friends that his birthday should be more important to them. The boys each attempt to get a date for Will's dinner, but Louise's party is very popular.

Simon is having to spend time with handsome 17-year-old French exchange student Patrice (played by Vladimir Consigny) and brings him along to Will's house. Will and Simon's mothers are attracted to Patrice, but the four boys dislike him. On Will's birthday, his present from his mother Polly is an unflattering black vest that she thinks makes him look cool. This greatly disappoints Will, as he had been hoping for driving lessons. She guilt trips him into wearing the vest that evening. The day does not get much better as at his dinner party, the only attendees are the five boys. They go outside to try to invite a group of drunken young girls - who angrily reject them and brand them "paedos". A stripper has been called to the house by Jay, but she has not received her £150 fee, and hence confronts Polly on the doorstep whilst the boys are still out. After these events, Will agrees that going to Louise's party is a good idea.

The boys arrive at Louise's front door, where, through the window, they see many attendees, including Charlotte. Patrice is allowed into the party, while the rest of the boys are denied entry. All but Will climb the back fence, whilst he crawls through a gap in it - passing through dog faeces in the process. Louise lets them in the house. Having to take his jacket off, Will reveals his vest and is ridiculed by the party's attendees for it. Simon briefly talks to Carli. Will is shocked when he finds Patrice and Charlotte in bed together. The boys receive a brief respite from their bad day when Mark Donovan turns up looking for Charlotte, and the prospect of Patrice getting beaten up by the psychopathic school bully is a happy one.

When the boys leave the party, they are again spotted by the group of drunken young girls who send their older brother running after them with a cricket bat.
