Plot

Simon is about to take his driving test, but does not feel confident that he will pass; even so, Will, Jay and Neil are over-optimistically discussing the possibilities of one of their group owning a full driving licence. Before Simon takes his test, the others have already made plans to go to Thorpe Park - where Neil works, meaning they will be able to get in for free.

Simon's driving test is handled by a flirtatious female examiner who uses sexual connotations to put him at ease and who writes off his many mistakes after developing an attraction to him, making him somewhat uncomfortable but allowing him to pass the test despite his poor driving abilities and eyesight. His father Alan buys him a dated yellow Fiat Cinquecento 'Hawaii', so old it still has a tape deck, as a reward, though Simon responds negatively and insists he doesn't want it. However, soon realising he has no other choice, he reluctantly accepts the car, before heading off to collect Will and Jay and then to Thorpe Park.

After the journey - which includes "stalking" a car full of girls and cutting into a funeral procession - the boys finally arrive at Thorpe Park. Jay spots the same girls they were previously following during the journey and tries to leave the car whilst Simon is parking, causing the door to catch on a nearby a sign and tear off. Simon panics and tries to leave to get the door fixed, but Jay and Will remind him that Neil's sister's boyfriend is a mechanic capable of mending it without hassle; however, Simon is forced to carry the door with him around the park all day. They meet Neil inside, working as a ride mascot and flailing in pain in front of a crowd as a wasp has flown into his costume and stung him multiple times. The boys accompany him back to the locker room, disturbed when they discover he is naked underneath his mascot costume; Neil is left without any other clothes when he discovers his colleagues have stolen his own and disposed of them somewhere, and so he is forced to wear a vest and swim briefs from the lost property bin. Neil later confirms to Simon that his sister's boyfriend works at a garage, but Will interrupts and assures Simon that he can easily fix the door, eager to get on the Nemesis Inferno ride as they wait outside the queue.

When the group finally get to the front of the queue for Nemesis Inferno, having waited an extra half an hour to sit at the front, Will is told by a member of staff that there is only space for one more person at the front. Will assumes three other people have pushed in and demands they are moved, making a scene and loudly branding them "inconsiderate arseholes", before angrily sitting down next to them. He then, to his embarrassment, realises that they are from the "Happy Foundation", a charity for people with Down syndrome, given seats via priority access. After the ride, they all return to the car, where Simon discovers Neil's sister's boyfriend in fact works as a cashier at a BP garage, working with cars as a hobby in his spare time, and won't be able to fix Simon's door. They then find the car itself been vandalised by the same people Will insulted on the ride, who are seen driving away slowly whilst making insulting gestures, leaving Simon no choice but to phone his irritated father for help.
