Ventotene Lighthouse (Italian: Faro di Ventotene) is an active lighthouse on the Ventotene Island placed nearby the Porto Romano.
Description
The current lighthouse was built in 1891, it is a cylindrical tower in masonry attached to the seaside keeper's house. The tower is 16 metres (52 ft) high and emits one white flash in a five seconds period visible up to 15 nautical miles (28 km; 17 mi). The lighthouse is operated by the Lighthouses Service of the Marina Militare and it is identified by the code number 1716 E.F.[1]
