The Tennessee gubernatorial election of 2006 was held on November 7, 2006. The incumbent, Democrat Phil Bredesen, defeated Republican State Senator Jim Bryson to serve another term as Governor of Tennessee.

As of 2018, this is the most recent election in which a member of the Democratic Party was elected Governor of Tennessee and this is also the last time a Democrat won a majority of counties in the state.
