Stargo is a populated place in Greenlee County, Arizona, United States. It was settled in the late 1890s as "Metcalf", and had a population of 5,000 in 1910. The townsite was abandoned with the formation of the Morenci Mine, and a new town called Morenci was built southeast of Metcalf. Metcalf's name was changed to "Stargo" after its abandonment. Where Stargo once stood is where the present-day Morenci Mine now sits.
