San Jose Mayoral elections 2014

The June 2016 San Diego primary elections were on June 7, 2016, in San Diego, California. Although the June election is referred to as a primary, it functions as a general election. Races that result in no candidate receiving the majority of votes in the June election, advance to the November run-off election.

The elections included a mayoral race, a city attorney race, five seats to the San Diego City Council, and eight San Diego City ballot measures.^[1]

Incumbent Kevin Faulconer ran for a second term as Mayor against former San Diego City Councilmember Ed Harris and former California State Assemblymember Lori Saldaña.^[2]
