Rupakot is a village development committee in Tanahu District in the Gandaki Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4765 people living in 937 individual households.[1] The VDC has been merged with existing Bhanu village development committees(VDCs), Barbhanjyang village development committees (VDCs)[2][3][4] Tanahunsur Village Development Committee, Purkot VDC, Mirlung VDC, Satiswara VDC, Risti VDC, Basantapur VDC and Chok Chisapani VDC on 19 September 2015 to form Bhanu Municipality.

Social Organization

There are lot of social organization actively work in the Rupakot . Janajyoti Gram Sewa Sammittee Rupakot-5, (www.janajyoti.org.np) is another non profit social organization established with the mission of providing welfare schemes in the quality education health care and promoting the status of Nepalese in rural communities by improve the quality of life for poor children . It has focused in the field of school, community, health, education, culture social construction as well as drinking water.
