"Run" is a single by South Korean boy group BTS. The teaser for the Korean version of the song was released by Big Hit Entertainment November 24, 2015, and the music video was released on November 30, 2015 in South Korea.[1] The remix versions were released on May 2, 2016.[2]

The Japanese single albums and the music video was released on March 15, 2016 with the label Pony Canyon.[3] The Japanese release included two B-side songs.

Composition

The song is in the key of F# minor and it is 133 beats per minute.[4]

Music video

Both versions of the music video were directed by Choi YongSeok from Lumpens with Ko Yoojung, Lee Wonju, Ko Hyunji, and Jung Noori serving as assistant directors. The director of photography was Nam Hyunwoo of GDW. Other odd personal are Joo Byungik the fosuc puller, Song Hyunsuk who served as the gaffer, Song Kwangho working the jimmyjib, and art by Lee Moonyoung.[5]

Editions

For the Korean versions, it did not come as an album. For the Japanese single album, there were two versions: CD + DVD and normal version. Both have "Run" and "Butterfly" on the track listing and first edition albums came with a photocard. [6]

  • Album + DVD edition (PCCA-4360): This edition comes with a DVD containing the jacket photo shoot and making-of footage.
  • Regular edition (PCCA-4361): This edition comes with the bonus song "Good Day".

Live performances

BTS promoted the original version of the song on several Korean music programs, including Music Bank, Inkigayo, M Countdown, and Show Champion.[7]
