Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil (English: My Heart Lives In A Foreign Land) is a 2016 daily Indian soap opera that premiered on Star Plus on 7 November 2016.[3] Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, the series stars Arjun Bijlani, Drashti Dhami and Vineet Raina. It is inspired by Shah Rukh Khan's 1997 film, Pardes.[4][5] as well as Manju Kapur's 2008 novel The Immigrant.[6] The series is shot in India, as well as in the picturesque cities Vienna and Innsbruck of Austria.[7] The show was dubbed in Malayalam as Akkareyanente Manasam and aired on Asianet Plus.

Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil tells the story of Raghav and Naina, two individuals with a golden heart, who are fated to meet and fall in love in a foreign land, but destined to face challenges before their ultimate union.[8]

The show went off the air on 30 June 2017, getting replaced by Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? 3, which stars Barun Sobti and Shivani Tomar.[9][10]

Plot

This is romantic daily soap about two heartbroken souls who Start a new life in Austria. They are called Naina and Raghav. Raghav loves sanjana but she ignores him. Naina broke up with her fiance Amit. She goes to Austria for her mom's operation as her mom is a heart patient. She also wants to live happily but due to her break up. She lose hope. But she meets raghav. They develop magical experiences in Austria and become friends. Raghav dadi makes raghav sit in the mandap instead of his brother veer.

Naina feels betrayed but soon starts to trust him. Due to sanjana, there is misunderstanding between the couple. Naina helps raghav start a business in Austria.Dadi is in coma.

Naina meets ahana and becomes surrogate for ahana baby. Sanjana find out and tells raghav. Raghav misunderstood it and thought naina is having an affair and carrying someone else's baby. Without knowing the truth he oust naina out of his life. 3 MOnths Later The show focuses in india. Naina lives in india, raghav is arrogant business man but they meet and bicker. Dadi is in coma and when she wakes up, she mistaken naina baby to be raghav and naina's. Ahana also met with accident and tells naina that the baby is in danger. Raghav buys naina company and trouble naina but softens later. Enter Harjeet and Rehaan kurhana. Rehaan is ahana husband and Harjeet is the evil mother in law. She hates ahana and wants to kill the baby.She send goon on naina. Raghav protects naina baby even though he hates naina. Harjeet was the one responsible for ahana accident. She wants to hunt down the surrogate mother before rehaan. Naina is carrying the baby.

Naina and raghav grow closer and confess their love but due to misunderstanding, they grow apart. Rehaan kills raghav after he thought raghav kidnapped baby. Raghav thought naina betrayed him and had affair with rehan. He doesn't believe naina was surrogate mother. Raghav love naina immensely but due to misunderstand they were not reunited as raghav died.

Naina marries Rehaan to look after her baby arhan after she had given birth to prematurely since she was nearly bombed but raghav saved her but was killed by rehaan due to misunderstanding. Naina and Dadi live in rehaan house and take revenge on him When he finds out, Naina reveals that it's his fault and Raghav won't come back and her story is not complete. Rehaan is shot by Harjeet and she is arrested. 7 years later Naina teaches her students about true love. She will always remember the memories she made with Raghav. The students ask her what her story is and Naina looks at Raghav photo knowing that Raghav is her story and she will be united with him in heaven.
