Laila Majnu (Hindi pronunciation: [lɛːlaː mədʒnuː]) is a 2018 Indian romance film starring Avinash Tiwari and Tripti Dimri. It is presented by Imtiaz Ali and co-produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Preety Ali.[1] The film is directed by Sajid Ali.[2][3][4][5]
The trailer was released on 7 August 2018[6][7][8] and the film was theatrically released on 7 September 2018.[9]
Storyline
Taking the leap out of the classic folklore, the story is set in today's time in Kashmir where Laila Majnu have problems relevant to the youth of today. While dealing with their feuding families a passionate love story unravels.[10]

The background score of the film is composed by Hitesh Sonik and songs are composed by Niladri Kumar, Joi Barua and Alif. The lyrics are written by Irshad Kamil, Mehmood Gaami and Mohammad Muneem. The first song "Aahista" was released on 9 August 2018.[12] This was followed by the title track "O Meri Laila" on 13 August 2018.[13]
