New Alipore railway station is a Kolkata Suburban Railway Station on the Sealdah–Budge Budge line with an approximate 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) distance from Sealdah railway station. It is under the jurisdiction of Eastern Railway zone. New Alipore railway station is one of the busiest railway stations of Sealdah railway division. More than 45 pairs of E.M.U. Local Trains ply through the railway station on a daily basis. It is situated in Kolkata in the Indian State of West Bengal. New Alipore railway station serves New Alipore and the surrounding areas.[1][2]

New Alipore railway station is located at 22°30′37″N 88°20′07″E / 22.5103°N 88.3354°E. It has an average elevation of 9 metres (30 ft).
History
In 1890 , the Eastern Bengal Railway constructed a 1,676 mm (5 ft 6 in) wide Broad Gauge Railway from Sealdah to New Alipore.
Electrification
Electrification of the Sealdah–New Alipore line was completed with 25 kV AC overhead system in 1965–66.
