Cararabo massacre 25 February 1995 Frontier with the Vichada Department, Colombia 8 Venezuelan soldiers in a border garrison were killed by a ELN guerrillas commanded by a Venezuelan National Guard deserter.

Tumeremo massacre 8 March 2016 Tumeremo, Bolívar state 4 Disappearance of twenty eight miners. Twenty four miners remain missing.
Uribana massacre 25 January 2013 Barquisimeto, Lara state 61 Prison riot. One hundred and twenty wounded.
