This is a list of countries by eggplant (aubergine) production in 2016, based on data from the Food and Agriculture Organization Corporate Statistical Database.[1] The total world production for eggplants in 2016 was 51,288,169 metric tonnes. China was by far the largest producer of eggplants, accounting for over 62% of world production. Dependent territories are shown in italics.
