Karyna Zhosan (Ukrainian: Карина Жосан; born December 17, 1994) is an Ukrainian actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Ukraine Universe 2018 on 14th August 2018. She will represent Ukraine at Miss Universe 2018.[1]
Life and Career
Early life
Zhosan was born and raised in Odessa. She is a graduate from Odessa National Academy of Food Technology and specializes in Hotel Restaurant and Tourism Business. She has built a successful modeling and acting career in China. She has recently opened a charity foundation in Kenya for orphans. She can speak 4 languages fluently. Through participating in this pageant, she wants to raise awareness about different global issues that need to be addressed.
Pageantry
On 14th August 2018, Zhosan began her pageantry career representing Odessa in the Miss Ukraine Universe 2018 competition. She won the pageant which was held at the Fairmont Grand Hotel in Kiev. As Miss Ukraine Universe, she had right to represent her country in Miss Universe 2018 where Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event. She succeeded outgoing Miss Ukraine Universe 2017 Yana Krasnikova. Her court included Natalia Bolykh (first runner-up), Valeria Ryabchenko (second runner-up), Anna Duritskaya (third runner-up) and Kateryna Semenyachenko (fourth runner-up). [2][3]
