K C Patel is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and has won the Indian general elections, 2014 from the Valsad (Lok Sabha constituency).[1]

Blackmailing incident

On May 1, 2017 Patel alleged that he is being blackmailed by a women after he was filmed in an objectionable position. As per his statements, a woman had approached him to seek some help but later she gave sedatives in a drink and filmed him. The unnamed woman has been arrested and sent to judicial custody as of 9 May 2017.
