DYRT (99.5 FM) - operating as Barangay RT 99.5 - is a FM station of GMA Network Inc. in Cebu City, Philippines with its subsidiary RGMA. The station's studio and transmitter located at the GMA Skyview Complex, Nivel Hills, Apas, Cebu City. This station is currently operating 24/7 except on Mondays where it closes down at midnight to 4:00 AM and except on Holy Week annually where it closes down at midnight of Maundy Thursday until 4:00 AM of Easter Sunday.
This station is occasionally rated as the most-listened to FM radio station in the city. [1] [2]
History
- First aired as Double 9.5 RT on February 4, 1980.
- In 1992, the station was rebranded as Campus Radio 99.5 RT and changed their slogan "Nindota-Ah!". Its format carrying Hot AC and OPM hits.
- On March 1, 2004, it changed its name to 99.5 RT which is playing Pop music.
- On February 17, 2014, the station was changed its branding to Barangay RT 99.5 together with the new programming of the station.
