The 2015 Connecticut State Senate special election were held on February 24, 2015 in order to fill Andres Ayala Jr.`s seat after he was appointed to be the Director of the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles. Ed Gomes, the Connecticut Working Families Party candidate won his seat back three years after Andres Ayala Jr. defeated him in the Democratic Primary, but would return to the Democratic Party after winning the election.
