Chhatna is a village, with a police station, in Chhatna CD Block in Bankura Sadar subdivision of Bankura district in the state of West Bengal, India.

Transport

State Highway 8 (West Bengal) running from Santaldih (in Purulia district) to Majhdia (in Nadia district) passes through Chhatna.[5]

Education

Chhatna Chandidas Mahavidyalaya was established at Ghoramuli in 2007. It is affiliated to the University of Burdwan and offers honours courses in Bengali, English, history and sociology, and a general course in arts.[6][7]

The College of Agriculture, Chhatna, an extended campus of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya was started in 2015.[8][9]

Healthcare

Chhatna Block Public Health Centre functions as the central facility in Chhatna CD Block, with four Public Health Centres at Salchura, Jorehira, Jhantipahari and Bhagabanpur and 36 subcentres.[10]
