Achuri is a village in Bankura I CD Block in Bankura Sadar subdivision of Bankura district in the state of West Bengal, India
Demographics
As per 2011 Census of India Achuri had a total population of 3,386 of which 1,728 (51%) were males and 1,658 (49%) were females. Population below 6 years was 406. The total number of literates in Achuri was 2,225 (74.66% of the population over 6 years).[1]
Transport
State Highway 8 (West Bengal) running from Santaldih (in Purulia district) to Majhdia (in Nadia district) passes through Achuri.[2]
Healthcare
Anchuri Block Public Health Centre functions as the central facility in Bankura I CD Block, with two Public Health Centres at Kenjakura and Helnasusunia and 11 subcentres.[3]
