2019 elections in India

The elections in India in 2019 include general election, by-elections to the Lok Sabha, elections to the Rajya Sabha, elections to six state legislative assembly elections and numerous other by-elections to state legislative assemblies, councils and local bodies.[1]

General elections

General elections are due to be held in India in April or May 2019 to constitute the seventeenth Lok Sabha.[2]

Legislative assembly elections

Assembly elections of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim will be tentatively held simultaneously with the general election.

Andhra Pradesh

Assembly Elections are due to be held in Andhra Pradesh in April or May 2019 to constitute the fifteenth Legislative Assembly.

Odisha

Assembly Elections are due to be held in Odisha in April or May 2019 to constitute the second Legislative Assembly.

Maharashtra

Assembly Elections are due to be held in Maharashtra in October to constitute the second Legislative Assembly.

Arunachal Pradesh

Assembly Elections are due to be held in Arunachal Pradesh in April or May 2019 to constitute the second Legislative Assembly.

Haryana

Assembly Elections are due to be held in Haryana in April or May 2019 to constitute the second Legislative Assembly.

Sikkim

Assembly Elections are due to be held in Sikkim in April or May 2019 to constitute the second Legislative Assembly.
