Tomarza

Tomarza is a town and district of Kayseri Province in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey. The mayor is Fahrettin Işık (AKP).

Toros Madaghjian (1890-1989) wrote the history of Tomarza in a book called "Memories of Tomarza". It was written in Armenian and first published in 1959. It was later translated into English and published on Amazon. Toros survived the genocide and settled in Racine Wisconsin where many of his descendants now live.

Climate

Tomarza has a warm summer continental climate (Dfb) with cold winters and very warm, dry summers with cool nights. Rainfall occurs mostly during the spring and early summer.
