Spain–Zimbabwe relations

Spain–Zimbabwe relations are the bilateral and diplomatic relations between these two countries. Zimbabwe does not have an embassy in Madrid[1] but has an embassy in Paris that is accredited to Spain. Spain has an embassy in Harare.[2]

Diplomatic relations

Spain established diplomatic relations with Zimbabwe following its independence, and opened its Embassy in Harare in 1981.[3]

There is no bilateral dispute open with the country.[3]

Economic relations

Bilateral trade relations between Spain and Zimbabwe have always been characterized by their modesty and the deficit in the balance Commercial for Spain.[4]

Cooperation

Spain is committed to the development of the African country through UN and through the European Development Fund of the European Union, of which Spain is the fifth largest contributor.[5]
