Denmark–Spain relations

Denmark–Spain relations are foreign relations between Denmark and Spain. Relations between Spain and Denmark are determined largely by the membership of both countries to the EU and NATO. Denmark has an embassy in Madrid.[1] Spain has an embassy in Copenhagen.[2] Denmark and Spain have shared historical ties, such as the origin of the flag of Sueca and the Dannebrog or the Spanish Expedition to Denmark.

Apart from a cordial cultural and commercial exchange between the two countries. Queen Sofía of Spain shares the title of Denmark along with Greece. Which has guaranteed, respectively, a great interest in strengthening relations between the Greco-Latin countries of southern Europe and the Nordic countries of northern Europe.

Trade

Spain is Denmark's 9th largest export country. In 2009, the export to Spain was more than 13 billion DKK. Danish export to Spain includes medicine, industrial machinery and furnitures.[3]

The Embassy of Denmark is located in Madrid, Spain. The Embassy of Spain is located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
