Prathipadu (SC) (Assembly constituency)

Prathipadu Assembly constituency is an SC reserved constituency in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, representing the state legislative assembly in India.[1] It is one of the seven assembly segments of Guntur Lok Sabha constituency, along with Tadikonda, Mangalagiri Ponnuru, Tenali, Guntur West, and Guntur East.[2] Mekathoti Sucharitha is the present MLA of the constituency, who won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from YSR Congress Party.[3] As of 25 March 2019, there a total of 250,247 electors in the constituency.[4]

It formed with five mandals in 2009 namely, Guntur Rural mandal, Kakumanu, Prathipadu, Pedananadipadu, Vatticherukuru.[5]:22,31
