Nautan (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of 2. Paschim Champaran.[1] It was earlier part of Bettiah.

Election results

1977-2010

In November 2010 state assembly elections Manorma Prasad of JD(U) won the 6. Nautan assembly seat defeating her nearest rival Narayan Prasad of LJP. Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Baidyanath Prasad Mahto of JD(U) defeated Amar Yadav of RJD in October 2005 and February 2005. Baidyanath Prasad Mahto of SAP defeated Amar Yadav, Independent, in 2000. Satan Yadav, Independent, defeated Biadyanath Prasad Mahto of SAP in 1995. Rawakant Dwivedi of CPI defeated Birbal Prasad of JD in 1990. Kamla Pandey of Congress defeated Rawakant Dwivedi of CPI in 1985 and 1980. Kedar Pandey of Congress defeated Bhawai Prasad Jaiswal of Janata Party in 1977.[2][3]
