Madhuban (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is an assembly constituency in Purvi Champaran district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is an open seat now but was earlier reserved for scheduled castes.

1977-2018

In The Bihar legislative assembly election, 2015 Rana Randhir Singh of BJP defeat Shivjee Rai of Janta dal(united) and won 17 Bihar assembly election In the November 2010 and October 2005 state assembly elections Shivjee Rai of JD(U) won the 16 Madhuban state assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Rana Randhir of RJD. Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Rana Randhir of RJD defeated Shivjee Rai of JD(U) in February 2005. Sita Ram Singh of RJD defeated Rajesh Kumar Roshan of Samata Party in 2000. Sita Ram Singh of Janata Dal defeated Krishna Chandra of SAP in 1995 and Ramji Singh of BJP in 1990. Sita Ram Singh of Janata Party defeated Ram Nandan Singh of Congress in 1985. Vraj Kishore Singh of Congress defeated Mahendra Rai of Janata Party (Secular – Charan Singh) in 1980. Rup Lal Rai of Congress defeated Mahendra Rai of Janata Party in 1977.[2][3]
