History

Fox Entertainment was formed in 2019 after Fox's television studio, 20th Century Fox Television (among other studios), was acquired by Disney.[2] It currently serves as Fox's television production arm.

On August 6, 2019, the studio acquired the animation studio Bento Box Entertainment[3]

In April 2020, Fox Entertainment announced their partnership with Caffeine to bring the AniDom Beyond Show, a recap show hosted by Andy Richter.[4] The show aired its finale on May 18, 2020 and it is unknown whether it will return in the future.

Fox Entertainment also will develop scripted and unscripted projects through its Sidecar brand, identifying and incubating programming for both Fox’s broadcast network and third-party platforms. Fox Entertainment will retain ownership of all series that originate under the banner, to which the Fox Corporation will own rights to.[5]
