The Great North is an upcoming American animated sitcom created by Wendy Molyneux, Lizzie Molyneux and Minty Lewis for the Fox Broadcasting Company.[1]

In June 2020, the series was renewed for a second season ahead of its debut.[2]

Premise

The Great North takes place in Alaska, where a single dad, Beef Tobin, juggles his life keeping his kids close together, including being involved in his daughter's artistic dreams in the local mall.[3]

Development

On May 9, 2019, Fox put the animated show on straight to series order. Production companies involved include Bento Box Entertainment, Fox Entertainment, and 20th Century Fox Television.[3][4] Executive producers include Loren Bouchard, Minty Lewis, and sisters Lizzie and Wendy Molyneux.[5] On June 22, 2020, Fox renewed the series for a second season ahead of its debut.[2]

Casting

On May 9, 2019, it was announced that Nick Offerman, Jenny Slate, Megan Mullally, Will Forte, Aparna Nancherla, Paul Rust, and Dulcé Sloan have been cast in series regular roles. All but the latter two have either guest starred, or have recurring roles on Bob's Burgers.[6]
