"Cap" is a song by British YouTube personality and rapper KSI, featuring American rapper Offset. The song is produced by American producers Diego Ave, Go Grizzly and Mally Mall. The song is taken from KSI's debut album Dissimulation, which was released on 22 May 2020 through RBC Records, under BMG Rights Management.[1] The song charted at number 24 on the UK Singles Chart.[2]

Promotion

On 18 May 2020, KSI announced via social media that a music video for "Cap" would be released on 22 May 2020, the same day as the release of the album Dissimulation.[3][4]

KSI explained the song's lyrics and meaning as part of a Genius Verified video interview, which was released on 26 June 2020.[5]

Commercial performance

The song sold 17,496 copies in the UK in its first week, debuting at number 24 on the UK Singles Chart and number 14 on the UK R&B Singles Chart.[6][2][7]

Music video

The music video, directed by TajvsTaj, was filmed in Los Angeles in March 2020 and was uploaded to KSI's YouTube channel on 22 May 2020.[8][9][10] It has 9 million views.[11] The music video is shot in black and white.
