1950 Georgia gubernatorial election
The 1950 Georgia gubernatorial election was held on November 7, 1950. Democratic Gov. Herman Talmadge, who had won the 1948 special election[1] was re-elected to a full term with 98.44% of the vote. He beat former Governor Melvin E. Thompson in the Democratic primary.
