Yanchuan County

Yanchuan County (Chinese: 延川县; pinyin: Yánchuān Xiàn) is a county in Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province of China. As of 2016, the county was made up of one subdistrict and seven towns.[1]

Total area: 1941 km2. Total population is 180,000 in 2002.

Xi Jinping was sent to work in Liangjiahe Village, Wen'anyi Town, Yanchuan County, in 1969 in Mao Zedong's Down to the Countryside Movement.[2]
